FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Robotics relies on corporate sponsors and donations from small businesses and private individuals to fund each team. MURA uses the same sponsor-supported funding model for operations. 3M Company is the major sponsor for the field and Minneapolis Public Schools provide space for the field and Skilled Trades shop. In 2022, MURA received a durable perimeter from the State of Minnesota as part of a grant to fund five fields throughout the state.
MURA Field's annual operating expenses at ~$12,000-15,000 and include: liability insurance and internet access, the cost of building field elements for each year's game, plus operating and improving the field and shops. Funding in excess of basic needs will be used to acquire reusable stage truss for the field elements to reduce material disposal, and addition of an aftermarket manual milling machine for training.
As a sponsor, your organization will:
Be prominently featured on our website, banners, social media, and event materials
Gain exposure to robotics teams from across the state
Build a reputation with the next generation of STEM professionals who practice at MURA Field
MURA has operated with one or two large sponsors who cover our major expenses and allow us to maintain a financial cushion. Recently, we lost a founding sponsor. We need to rebuild our funding base through sponsorships that typically are between $1000 and $5000 per year.
If your company is able to become a sponsor, please contact us at MURArobotics@gmail.com.
